‘Tis the season for fun, festive, feasts…with a view

Are you looking to treat yourself and your loved ones to a very special feast, this festive season?

How about a luxe Christmas eve dinner, a traditional Christmas day lunch, or an opulent champagne brunch at The Four Seasons, The Westcliff? I cannot think of anything more magical.  The reason why I enjoy the Four Seasons, The Westcliff so much is because of the magnificent views overlooking the city I love. The attention to detail the restaurant exhibits from the restaurant staff to the artisanal food, and the gorgeous photo’s you get to take in this luxurious environment. Christmas eve dinner: R1250 pp

The Soweto Gospel Choir, Johannesburg’s very own Grammy award-winning “Voices of Heaven” to transport the spirit as the views carry the eye.

  • Start your evening off with a crisp glass of champagne
  • Cold selection: Gorgonzola, roasted pear and arugula salad Spinach, raspberry and candied walnut salad Beetroot cured salmon gravlax with dill on pumpernickel Galician style octopus with potato, romesco and kale Alsatian onion tart with quark and prosciutto Pâté en croûte maison
  • Sushi selection: Salmon roses, cucumber, and springbok roll-ups and rainbow rolls
  • Warm pacific oysters with champagne sabayon
  • Hot selection:
    • Traditional roast turkey: turkey breast and strudel, butternut, forest mushrooms, and hazelnut ‘gravy’
    • Bourbon glazed gammon: pork cheek, braai’d pineapple, cashew and turnip puree, bok choy and crackling
    • Monkfish cooked meuniere: chorizo pilaf, mussels, asparagus, saffron, parsley, and marigold
    • Smoked beef fillet: potato terrine, carrot puree, brassicas, Yorkshire pudding, and port reductions

    • Under the Christmas tree, glazed white chocolate marquise with caramelized hazelnuts
