18 Jul Free skin analysis scans in July for Mandela day
The Specialist laser and cosmetic institute (SCIN), in Hyde Park, is offering complimentary skin analysis scans throughout the month of July, in celebration of Mandela Day. Dr S’lindile Ndwalane, a leading Dermatologist for SCIN explains that a Digital Skin Subtraction (DSS) Scan assesses what damage lies in the deeper layers of your skin. It measures your skins pigmentation, and pore size, and looks for evidence of bacteria lodged inside pores. At the same time it scans for UV spots, sun damage, texture, and wrinkles – predicting how your skin will age. This will allow the specialists to provide the best solutions for the skin concerns you might have.
Dr Sli explains that skin conditions often have a profound effect on the daily functioning of those affected. “Studies have shown that people with visible skin conditions have increased rates of depression, anxiety, and decreased self-esteem. Therefore we are offering the free DSS Scans during July, to help boost people’s self-confidence and happiness. At SCIN we are passionate about delivering world class medical aesthetics to South African clients and we strive to help align people’s internal vision of themselves with their appearance – optimising their overall well-being.”
The DSS scan takes 30 minutes, and it is done by a specialist machine which captures left, right, and frontal facial views, giving the team at SCIN a clear picture of the patient’s skin. This first analysis will become the baseline for treatment progress and according to the scan results a treatment plan for each person’s skin needs and concerns will be planned out. All necessary Covid-19 safety protocols are followed at all times to ensure the health of our patients, doctors, and aesthetic therapists.
