18 Nov Environ Focus Care Youth+ Review and Giveaway
Environ recently launched their Focus Care Youth range (October 2018) and it’s a Sher thing was lucky enough to be able to trial it. I absolutely love having healthy, glowing skin. That’s why you’ll often see my trialling new skin care ranges, at different price points, that do different things. I understand that everyone’s skin is different and that products that work for me, may not work for you and vice versa. I do however always promise to bring you honest reviews.
The products I trialed were;
- The Focus Care Youth+ Avance Elixir (full size) 30ml, retailing at R1 360,00
- Focus Care Youth+ Revival Masque (full size) 50ml, retailing at R1 020,00
- Focus Care Hydrating Oil Capsules (sample size of 10), The full size of 30 capsules retails for R730,00
Focus Care Youth is a premium range of skin care products, specially formulated with intelligent ingredient combinations to target specific skin conditions of ageing, dehydration and sensitivity. I love that this range is focused on preventing the signs of ageing. By focusing on smoothing and strengthening aged skin. This range’s nickname is hailed as a facelift in a jar. Here’s to looking 21 forever.
Environ is only recommended by skin care professionals and sold in professional skin centres. Environ assigned me my own skin care professional so I could discuss my skin care concerns with her. I discussed the little bumps that I was having on my chin and they encouraged me to use the revival masque 2-3 times a week. I started doing that, and once my skin adjusted to the active ingredients I was able to sleep with this masque on.
This range introduces the skin to vitamin A in incremental doses, helping to restore and rebuild essential structures. This range minimises the effects of ageing by targeting damage caused by UV radiation and pollution. By introducing this range to your skincare routine you can look forward to smoother, radiant, more youthful-looking skin. The Environ Focus Care range uses three potent ingredients, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Lactic, Asiatic and Mandelic to improve sun damage, laxity and restore the skin’s healthy radiance.
Focus Care Hydrating Oil Capsules: I was a little hesitant about using the oil capsules at first as some facial oils have been a bit too rich for my skin in the past. Although my skin soaked these up like a tall glass of water on a hot summers day. love that each capsule contains enough product, so you don’t feel as though you need to add an additional moisturiser on top. It simply sinks into the skin, and left my skin feeling silky soft and smooth. I woke up to skin that was noticeably healthier looking and I had a gorgeous glow.
Focus Care Youth+ Revival Masque:
With regards to the masque it’s recommended that you slowly introduce it into your skincare routine as a 10-20 min treatment, using it once or twice a week. Once your skin is more comfortable with regular applications you can progress to using the it as an overnight treatment and eventually daily, if your skin allows. In the beginning I found the Revival Masque a bit dehydrating due to the acids it contains. When I used the masque in conjunction with the Hydrating Oil Capsules I found they were the perfect accompaniment for that added moisture boost. The Focus Care™ Hydrating Oil Capsules contains a blend of Retinol and Antioxidants that help to protect your skin against the damaging effects of free radicals and enriches it with natural surface oils, leaving it looking visibly refreshed and energised.
I only started to notice a difference after 3-4 uses. I love the packaging as it has an innovative pump action bottle that is hygienic and functional. It also ensures that the active ingredients don’t lose their effectiveness. It also comes with a luxurious masque brush which allows itself to easy application. It’s a great at home pamper treatment. It gave my skin a great glow, but I haven’t really noticed a difference in pigmentation. Out of all the products in the range, this is the one I am most tempted to repurchase.
The Focus Care Youth+ Avance Elixir: I enjoyed the liquid consistency of this product as it was easy to apply, absorbs into the skin quickly and a little really did go a long way. It also acts as a great primer before applying your daily makeup. I enjoy the pump bottle packaging. I didn’t see a difference in my skin’s appearance but I am sure I will see a difference after using this product for a few more weeks.This elixir contains anti-inflammitory, anti-blemish and anti-aging properties.

Posted at 11:41h, 29 NovemberI suffer from acne, which is mostly hormonal, on my chin, and I have a very oily T-zone. I always take my makeup off before bed, double cleanse when I’ve worn makeup, and try to avoid anything with SLS, mineral oil, shea butter and typically stick to fragrance-free cleansers…needing help to improve this.

Posted at 18:01h, 18 NovemberI’m at the age now where I really wished I’d started with a skincare routine in my early 20’s – during pregnancy I started getting some discoloring around my mouth- after birth it’s still there and it’s probably one of my biggest concerns. I just want to feel beautiful again and not having to cake on the make up.

Posted at 17:54h, 18 NovemberI am a musician and teacher, so I am playing my instrument for up to 8 hours a day. As a violinist, I worry about the area around my cheek and underneath my neck (where I keep my instrument), as the constant friction causes dark marks and dryness. I’m prone to dryness and wrinkles at the sides of my mouth as well (when I play flute).

Years ago I had the privilege of using Dr Des Fernandes products for a while .But due to circumstances I could not afford to keep up the regime .I wish I had . I know Vitamin A is the main ingredient ..he was at the forefront of skin pioneers ..because I have the same surname by co-incidence I’ve never forgot that story .It would be an h9nour to b3 able to use these updated versions

Posted at 15:18h, 18 NovemberMy skin concern is that my t-zone is either oily causing my make-up to melt off or I don’t use something nourishing enough so I land up with dehydrated skin. I just don’t seem to get the correct balance. Being 34 I need to start taking serious care of my skin to not look aged and remain youthful with a healthy glow.
