Kitchen Tea – Beauty Suppliers

Hi lovelies,

This is part one of a two-part series. This first part is the beauty section and how I got ready for my kitchen tea. As much as I would love to say that I just rolled out of bed and arrived at the venue at 10h00, I  think we all know that to look your best can take hours of hair, makeup, and even a little spray tan glow! The second series will be my food and beverage suppliers.

A few weeks ago I was treated to the most magnificent kitchen tea, by my bridesmaids! I wanted to share the suppliers I used with you, as I know how difficult it is to find suppliers who show up, deliver what they promised and who are affordable. See details below, and please let me know if you use any of the suppliers recommended.

The theme was festival, which was appropriately named ‘Tamchella’. Guys, a kitchen tea/bachelorette is SUCH a vibe! All of your nearest and dearest are there, music is playing, cocktails and champagne is flowing, games are played and fun is had! I highly recommend you have one, even if it’s just a small get-together at your house.

The venue was a family friend’s home in Westcliff, and my bodysuit was purchased from yaga.

Hair: Boyd from @Carbon

I had a wash and blowdry at Carbon (20 mins in and out). I love that they use the new Redken ABC range, so I leave smelling like a little citrus fruit, it’s quick (lifesaver, for a busy gal like me!) and Boyd’s blowdry’s last 3-5 days before you need another one. Three days later and you still have soft, bouncy, beachy, waves. Use my code Tam15 for 15% off your next appointment at Carbon. This blowdry was sponsored, as part of a trade exchange, for my big day.

Contact: Boyd has since left Carbon, you can contact him via Carlton Hyde Park, on 011 325 4916

At Carbon, you can book with Vicky or Jenna on 011 268 6855

Makeup: Storm

My friend Storm had a mammoth task ahead of her. It was a week before my wedding, I was super stressed out and I wanted to look pretty. She popped in to my home at 08h00 on a Sunday morning, with a suitcase full of makeup in one hand, some glitter and rhinestones in another hand, and a smile on her face. The brief was – Tamchella – but in a black and gold colour scheme. I was soooo happy with how my makeup turned out – I think it’s safe to say that our girl Storm, understood the assignment. Storm uses a range of makeup brands, including Nannacoco and Stilla which can be purchased from wiink cosmetics – use my code@Tamryn_Sher to save 10% off your purchase with Wiink (in-store or online). Please note that this makeup was a gift by a friend (Storm) and I do earn commission from any sales made using my code at Wiink.

Tan: Glow Couture Fourways

Jenny is the owner of Glow Couture Fourways and truth be told, she’s one of the best tanners I’ve ever experienced. She understands her products and how they interact with your skin. She uses Norvella tanning products and the colour used on me is Venetian goddess. I love that the colour only takes 3h to set, and then you can go on living your best, golden glow life. Use my code Tam10 to get 10% off your next appointment with Jenny. This tan was sponsored, as part of a trade exchange, for my big day.

Nails: Nude

Lara is the owner of Nude. I’ve been going to her for years. I love that her salon is beautiful, well run, professional and they specialise in nail art. Nude is one of the few salons that use an electric file, which means your ‘soak off’ is done in 10 mins and doesn’t damage your natural nails at all. Nude only uses rubber base, which is a nail hardening product, so my nails are my natural nails, just harder. We then paint a gelish nail polish over that, sometimes we do some nail art too. They’re also super affordable and often run great specials. I love that you can have a new set of nails and be in and out in an hour.

Facial: Peaches and Cream

Chantal is the owner of Peaches & Cream. I’ve only started going there recently. I love that their pedicures are done in a treatment bed, so you can literally have a nap while you get beautified – what a win! They have great coffee’s and they’re affordable too. I had a Dermalogica Microdermabrasion facial. My skin felt super smooth afterwards and it had a definite glow to it. It’s so important to look after your skin, follow a great skincare routine, and purchase the best products that you can afford for your skin. They also offer great deals for bridal pamper parties – I know because I used them for mine too! Chantal goes above and beyond and your experience will be so special and spectacular – trust me
