3 beauty products to practice sensual selfcare this Spring

After a long, cold, dark (thanks Eskom) Winter, Spring is finally here. Spring is always such a happy time of year for me! It makes me think of braai’s by the pool, fresh blooms in the burbs, chilled rose and bright coloured mani’s! It’s also a time for reflection, evaluation, optimism, and hope. Since sensual selfcare Sundays are an official lockdown tradition, we’ve found three beauty products for you to trial this season and P.S. they won’t break the bank. So have a Spring Fling, with yourself boo, look and feel your best – you know you’re worth it!

Haircare

Creightons Sunshine Blonde Brightening Range: From R74.95

Bleach blonde hair can really take strain during the cooler, Winter months, as we enter Spring, we need to repair that damage by adding a little TLC to our daily routines. Blonde locks tend to lose shine, fade faster, and start looking yellow/brassy sooner. Luckily, with a little at home TLC, you can beautify your blonde and neutralise those warm tones. A purple shampoo or mask can work wonders, as purple is the direct opposite of yellow on the colour wheel. So naturally, they cancel each other out. Leave your hair looking and feeling beautiful with this affordable, at home range. Available from Dischem.

Makeup

Essence, my power is matt lipstick: R52.95

Nothing says sexy Spring lips quite like a super-light, highly pigmented lipstick right. This lipstick provides an intensive matt finish with its long-lasting formula. It comes in four shades that represent the four elements. A deep dark red (fire), a bright red-pink (water), a warm nude (earth) and an intense berry tone (air). Personally, I’m an air sign and between these four shades, the intense berry is the light, matt shade I would naturally gravitate towards. Which one would put a spring in your step? Available from Dischem.

Body care

Bramley Magnolia Tissue Oil Moisturising Body Wash: R32.99

I was a little sceptical when I first received this huge bottle of Bramley body wash. I expected it to be an artificially scented, gel. However it wasn’t anything of the sorts. It was a light body wash, that lathered beautifully and came in an 800ml bottle. This is the ultimate at home spoil. Run a warm bath, pour yourself a glass of bubbly, soak a bit and then lather yourself in this lightly scented treat. This body wash left my skin feeling soft, silky and pampered. Available from Pep, while stocks last.
