8 ways to entertain your guests at your wedding after the ceremony

You have kissed all the frogs and now you have met your prince charming. Fast forward to the best day of your life. It is everything you have ever wanted, the flowers, the champagne, declaring your undying love for each other, in-front of your nearest and dearest, it is simply magical.

Now you and your hubby/wife are going off to take photos and make memories. This can take anywhere from an hour to three, depending on your venue and the picture opportunities you have available. Here are eight ways to entertain your guests at your wedding after the ceremony.

Red carpet violinist:

Picture this, after the ceremony, your guests are making their way to your gin bar / snack area, they walk on a red carpet, only to find that the end of the red carpet is attached to a dress that a gorgeous violinist is wearing. This really is a showstopper, a photo opportunity, and its live entertainment.

Jumping castle:

Now that the formalities are over, kick off your heels and let go a little. When last were you on a jumping castle? Enjoy yourself, have some champagne and have fun. This is a celebratory occasion after all.

Photo booth:

Photobooths have come a long way over the last few years. We are not talking feather boas and oversized glasses. We are talking about personalised, creative, photobooths, with your wedding hashtag, balloons, whatever fits in to the theme. This is a fun event, and it creates great keepsakes too. Some photobooths print the pics, others turn them into magnets and some email them directly to you so that you can share them directly to social media.

Gin bar/pimp your prosecco:

Have a selection of gins/prosecco’s, coloured tonics, coloured glitter, and colourful garnishes. Allow your guests to have fun, exploring their creativity, and sharing their creative pics on social media.

Chandelier lady:

Not only is this something different that people have not seen before, but it is gorgeous to look at, once again it is a photo opportunity and its live music, which is gorgeous to listen to while people are snacking and chatting.

Caricaturist:

Supporting local artists feels great, but in this instance, it makes for a great keepsake too. This can be the gift your guests take home, and it serves as an activity for them to do while you are away.

Russian picnics:

When you go off to have photo’s taken, invite your guests to enjoy cheese, wine and preserves on blankets, on the lawn. This is a relaxed setting that allows for easy conversations in a relaxed setting. Guests can take off their shoes and let go a little. They will not even notice that you are gone.

Ballerina’s:

Picture this, cheese, and preserves in one hand, a glass of bubbles in the other, and then a troupe of ballerina’s tip toe into an open space, with live music, to put on a great show. Your guests will love it.
