Beautiful blooms and local florists to support this month

Valentine’s day is around the corner. And we’ve taken the stress out of wondering if your delivery arrive on time and if the arrangement will be as luxurious as the images on the website. We’ve searched Joburg for the best florists, with the most beautiful arrangements, who offer convenient ordering, quick delivery, and the best seasonal blooms in town.

Here are our recommendations:

The Florist Joburg:

We started following The Florist Johannesburg on Instagram a few years ago. We were so in love with their beautiful bouquets, they were unlike anything we had ever seen before. These bouquets combined different colours, textures, flowers and they came in different sizes of hat boxes and in different colours too.

We’ve ordered a couple of bouquets from them for work events and for friends’ special days but it wasn’t until my own bouquet arrived for my birthday that I fell deeply in love with this brand. I received a classic white bouquet, adorned with white roses and a single white king protea.

For Valentine’s day all boxes are available in cream and black, and rose colours are available in red, pink, white, purple, orange and yellow *subject to availability

Saskia offers a range of bouquets, at a range of prices.

Prices:

their premium square boxes hold 16-20+ roses and retail for R570 for red roses, all other colours are R380
their small round hat boxes hold between 10-12 stems of roses and retail for R315 for red roses and R275 for all other colours
for small round hat boxes to hold between 10-20 roses, you’re looking at R525 for red roses and R370 for others
you can get a large hatbox with red roses making the shape of a red heart for R820, other colours are R630
heart-shaped hat boxes with red roses retail for R590, with other colours costing R400

This business was founded in 2019 and to date they have delivered hundreds of boxes of beautiful fresh-cut flowers across Johannesburg. I received a box of these flowers for my birthday last year and I love that they are delivered in a box and use all biodegradable products, they’re thinking about the environment too.
