Q: What do London summer trends look like right now?

A: We are seeing more natural-looking hair both locally and abroad. Very wavey, natural colours, shorter and easier to maintain bobs, the more experimental are opting for a fun colour toner with Davine’s view in shades such as lilac, as opposed to permanent colour. Younger people are experimenting with washout toners as they want to have fun and they aren’t going into the office every day.

Q: Any advice for someone who has freshly coloured their hair?

A: The most important thing about maintaining good hair health is the products you use on your hair, so use the best products you can. Double wash with shampoo, condition, use a mask/treatment weekly, come to the salon for regular trims and toner and use as little heat on your hair as possible

nourishing shampoo 250ml | EXCLUSIVE: Getting to know David Gillson | it's a Sher thing

David’s Davines Love of the week:

Nourishing shampoo and conditioner

Shampoo for dehydrated scalp and dry, brittle hair. This nourishing shampoo cleanses gently with a nourishing action, without changing the hair structure. I use this shampoo and conditioner every second week and I always notice that my hair feels healthy, shiny, and moisturised after I’ve used it.

Shampoo R345 for 250ml

Replenishing conditioner for dry, brittle hair. This balm is suitable for unstructured and fragile hair. It deeply moisturises the hair, making it soft, bright, easy to comb, and reinforcing the structure. I absolutely love it!
