Tapa’s, Ribs & Burgers, and a limited-edition doughnut range are on the cards for us today.
Blurb:
Nothing brings people together quite like good food and great deals. South Africa is one of the most culturally diverse, culinary hotspots in the world. From Spanish inspired tapas, old school burgers, and riblets, to a chocoholics dream doughnut, we’ve got you covered. All you need to do now is decide which restaurant you’ll be visiting, then again, why choose one when you can go to them all.
La Parada:
This Spanish inspired tapas restaurant and bar has a great special on at the moment. Get any five tapas, sides or desserts for just R299.
Our representative had four tapas and a dessert. The peppadew poppers are everything and come highly recommended. Expect the warm cream cheese filling (with basil aioli) to ooze out the sides when you bite into these flavoursome parcels. They’re simply delicious. The garlic prawns are flash-fried in butter, chili, garlic, lemon, and parsley. This sauce was so good, we had to stop ourselves from licking the plate. The tuna tacos were fresh and tasted just like summer – another great treat and the churros were as light as air, with a chocolate dipping sauce. This deal easily fulls two people sufficiently and it’s a meal you’ll really enjoy.

Ribs & Burgers:
This fan favourite chain is currently celebrating its 9th birthday, get yourself an old school cheeseburger, 250g pork riblets, and small chips for just R139.
An All4Women representative tried this meal out and these were her thoughts: Firstly, all Covid-19 protocols were strictly followed which immediately puts you at ease and allows you to relax a little. The meal arrived quickly and was rather large, too big to finish in a single sitting for me. The ribs were covered in a delicious basting and were so well cooked, they fell off the bone so easily. The burger, while simple was an excellent combination of flavours that just ‘work’, the fries were crispy and delicious and were, of course, smothered in their house brand BBQ sauce. I couldn’t resist washing this treat down with a homemade lemonade which is Tarte, tangy, and oh so refreshing for just R29 for a small.

Krispy Kreme:
This American, sweet treat destination has just launched three limited-edition offerings and we are drooling. Thanks to a recent collaboration with Nestle Aero we can now treat ourselves to the Aero duet which is a glazed ring, dipped in milk and white chocolate icing, topped with Aero duet krumble, and finished off with a swirl of white and milk chocolate Kreme. Next up is the Aero dark doughnut – an unglazed ring dipped in dark chocolate, decorated with a white and milk chocolate design, topped off with Nestle Aero Dark chocolate. Lastly, we have the Aero peppermint doughnut – an unglazed shell, filled with Aero peppermint chocolate Kreme, dipped in milk chocolate icing, topped with crushed Nestle Aero peppermint. Starting at R18.90
Our representative tried all three and the duet krumble was her best!
