Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon apricot jam
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Sauce:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1cup fresh cream
- 50g butter
Method:
- 1. Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- 2. Add wet ingredients whisk well.
- 3. Place in a deep roasting tray, cover with foil and put into a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes.
- 4. Prepare the sauce by melting a cup of sugar in a pad. Add the butter and cream and simmer over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
- 5. Remove the pudding from the oven. To check if it is ready, stick a toothpick into the middle of your pudding. If it comes out clean, your Malva is ready!
- 6. Pour the hot sauce over the pudding.
- 7. Enjoy with custard, ideal milk, ice cream or cream.
