Save time with rapid reviver

I recently attended the launch of the Elvive Rapid Reviver. I was a little skeptical when they told me I could use a conditioner than needed no set leave in time. So, I could put it on my hair and then immediately wash it off. Whaaaat? I had so many questions…

This conditioner promised the following:

  • 20% conditioning serum
  • It will leave your hair feeling 2x more nourished
  • 2x more revived
  • 2x less breakage

As a girl who has recently gone blonde and has been experiencing straw-like dryness this winter, I jumped at the opportunity to review this product. Let’s be honest, while we all want beautiful, soft, shiny hair, who has time for long-winded, time-consuming treatments? Not me.

Let me give you some context real quick. So, as we know, conditioners are convenient for daily use but they don’t deliver the deepest level of care for dry and damaged hair. However masks work harder to repair the hair deeper, making styling easier and hair shinier, but they need a couple of minutes to work. Like who even has time for a hair mask in 2019 but anyway. L’Oréal Paris is said to have created a new reviver that brings together the best of a conditioner and a mask into a powerful new technology. Whaaat!

Thus, the reason for me attending the launch of the Elvive Rapid Reviver. This mask has no leave in time as it instantly bonds with the fiber to revive and repair. I may leave it on for 3 seconds though, just-in-case, LOL. The proof was in the pudding and this reviver left my hair feeling incredibly soft, shiny and light, with no weight down. It is light enough to use daily, however, I only wash my hair weekly (what? I have really dry hair guys so it doesn’t get oily). The best part is that this product has a recommended retail price of R99,95 so don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself and let me know what you think.

My experience:

I have long, dry and damaged hair that is naturally wavy. I washed my hair as usual in the shower (double cleanse shampoo), and then the rapid reviver, which I left the rapid reviver on for a few seconds while I washed my body. The consistency is a little runny but it blends in well. I ran my fingers through my hair in the shower and my hair felt detangled and smooth. Once my hair was dry it was easy to manage, although my ends started feeling a little dry again after about 2 days. So for me, this treatment works really well if I wash my hair every 2-3 days. At the moment I’m washing my hair once every 5 days as my roots are really dry.

In terms of full disclosure, I was invited to a media launch and given this product for free. There was no expectation that I would write about this product in exchange, I am however telling you about it because I enjoyed it and wanted to share the results with you. #Gifted.
