We have found an amazing date night spot, with arguably the best burgers in Joburg, that won’t break the budget. Dr bae and I are always looking for new restaurants to try out. Thursdays are usually our date nights (when we can). Ribs and Burgers is a restaurant at the new snazzy shopping center, the

The Ribs are mouth-watering, the burgers are insatiable, the onion rings are moreish and don’t even get me started on the double thick milo milkshakes. Dyl and I shared some ribs, which are cooked low and slow and then grilled in their home-made basting (R159).

Their burgers are made with premium grass-fed beef cooked medium and basted with their signature BBQ basting, served on a seeded brioche milk bun. We tried the Aussie (R85), 150g beef patty, beetroot, pineapple, swiss cheese, basoc, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, BBQ sauce and aunty Joan’s pink sauce. These burgers were so big, we could’ve just shared one and some onion rings and called it a night. This burger was full of flavor and asbsolutely delicious. Their seasoned onion rings are (R25) a serving.

They also have wraps, salads, vegetarian options, dips and carb free options. Their double-thick shakes come in three flavours and two sizes, milo, vanilla malt and salted caramel, 350ml is (R25) and 500ml is (R35)
You can order your ribs and burgers for delivery, takeaway or you can enjoy your meal instore (my personal favorite). The staff are super friendly, the service was quick and the ambiance was relaxed. Most importantly, the food was fresh and delicious. Ribs and Burgers are perfect for a quick date night during the week. I would recommend this date night spot and I look forward to coming back again.
Have you tried Ribs & Burgers at the Marc? What did you think?
