The folks at HP South Africa were kind enough to lend me a Sprocket over the weekend to review, they even let me select which colour I wanted. I of-course chose the rose-gold and white one over the black and silver one. I’ve seen the sprockets in the windows of shops and I was so curious to try one out, so I was absolutely over the moon when they agreed to let me use one. For those of you who don’t know, a Sprocket is a portable little hand-held photo printer that prints pics directly from your smartphone, within seconds and requires NO ink. I was amazed at how quickly the pictures printed and the great quality of the prints. It was so much fun to use!
My boyfriend and I went to the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens with friends, a video camera and a sprocket in hand and had a great day of drinking fruit juices, filming video’s and printing pretty pics. I found the Sprocket easy to use, the app was user friendly even for someone as tech-unsavvy as me. It easily connected to my iPhone and printed great quality 5 x 7.6cm photo’s within seconds. It was so much fun to use and now I have some great memories from our special day out. The photo’s were of great quality, bright and colourful and really beautiful keep-sakes for our special memories. The battery was great and lasted about 4-5 hours while we were using it.
Some of the great features include:
- The App lets you customise your favourite social media photos with colourful frames, text, stickers and filters!
- The pictures the Sprocket prints are 5 x 7.6 cm smudge-proof, water-resistant and tear-resistant
- The portable printer goes virtually anywhere and only needs Bluetooth connectivity to connect to your smartphone/tablet and print and share the best pics of the dayThe Sprocket is available in white with rose gold accents, and black with silver accents, and comes with a 10-pack of HP ZINK (an abbreviation for zero ink) Photo Paper and Packs of HP ZINK Photo Paper (20 sheets per pack). You can find both at either iStore’s, HP stores and Takealot. It’s the perfect accessory for the summer holiday season! The HP Sprocket retails for R1 999.00ENDS
P.S. HP did not pay for this blog post, I just loved this hand-held printer concept and wanted to share it. They did however lend me a Sprocket to use for the weekend to write my review.
